TRENDS FOR SUMMER
This summer, hair styling takes center stage, whether it's a cascading mass of soft waves or one of the graphic shorter bobs we've been seeing around town. Nadeem gives us tips on how to achieve the looks of summer style.
Scrunch look, the shag worn straight w/the cup under the chin, and one length long all are still very much the trend, you'll see more mid length styles too, like above the shoulders and below the
chin...little more edgy with pieced ends.
color?
Colors are free and bold- blondes are transformed into antique gold. Reds and browns are applied light to flatter skin tones and the "classic black" is taken together with off beat techniques that are combined with slicing to filtering, while painting and scattering different hues for multi-dimesionalizing. Voilets, Blue, Reds will make u look different from others
New Cuts??
Freehand
This is a freeform sculpting technique that merges point cutting and exaggerated shear-over-comb. This cut is "the perfect short cut". This look is so popular because it's custom-cut differently on every client who walks through the door. The entire cut is achieved entirely freehand following the shape of the head.
Shaped
We use this cut to complement natural texture. So many people come in with one thing on their mind and that's "texture"! Ideal for those clients who have enough hair to spare, or if the style you already have has lost its shape and doesn't seem to show to its best advantage. The designer begins sculpting weight out of the interior and trims the outer perimeter; this will result in keeping a more
defined shape that will enhance all that natural texture. While finishing the look with a product that delivers maximum shine.
Textured
This cut is recommended to anyone who wants a more powerful look that is a fun and dramatic length that will give any fine head of hair assertiveness. The shapes within this cut are expressed with strong outlines. It is basically a technique you can go for shag cut, sqaure layered cut or slice cut (Cuts created by Nadeem).. it will reveal the feminity and lots of movement in the hair moreover they are easy to maintain
Chunky
A contoured layered look with lots of chunky ieces, that gives the client a versatile style that is functional and fun. A basic shape is defined and heavily texturized. The hair is cut vertically,
horizontally and diagonally.
The blunt cut will have a lot of texture and movement in the hair, "Before in the 70s the look used to be heavy but now it is very light
and with plenty of texture in the back. Uneven layering takes on a softer, more finished look. Hair is more styled and, believe it or not, less flat. Retaining its natural look, it rediscovers movement
Strong, sophisticated and glamorous. Hairstyling will be very interesting and fun to play with this coming season. Enjoy!
